Be a (big) bonus for whoever can decimate the government/Whitehall car-pool and replace it with a virtual fleet of cars available on demand.
Just saying, like.

As a Black Cab driver this is not much of a shock but I sincerely hope Cameron and his fucking boyfriend Osborne and all their cronies contract some hideous disease and die a slow and painful death.

Vile company, not the best week for them publicity wise. Saw all over social media they surged x3 after the terrorist attack on Wednesday whilst the black cabs were getting people out the area for free. Can't believe any saddo still uses them, as if the black cabs are gone those surges will be common place. In our office it's a running joke with the very few who still use them. Traveling city to west end its like a couple of quid difference, so why would you get in a uninsured piece of crap car with a bloke who can hardly speak English only staring at a sat nav instead of the road to get you somewhere they have never heard of? They've had it tough our cabbies but still showed their class when it mattered most. Stay safe and only use the worlds greatest taxi service. #deleteuber

It's nigh on impossible to drive in London now due to uber drivers clogging the roads with their insistence on never going over 5 miles per hour so they can stay on the electric motor in their Prius. And because they don't know the roads, they are forever cutting across lanes as a late response to whatever free navigation app they're using to find their way from Tower Hill to Canary Wharf

The problem is, Uber is actually pretty good! And because it is, I really dont give a fuck about whatever livelyhood its killing.
Things change. At the end of the day Uber is a far superior service for most people. And if we are going into ethics.. I mean, where do we start? the banks, oil companies.. insurance companies.. they are all as evil is fuck but we still use them.
I dont get the outrage, unless you think all cabbies are "hard working, salt of the earth cheekie chappies" and deserve some extra cuddling... But we are all "hard working" so what? Why do you deserve protection from a superior service? I dont get that in the private sector, why should they?

maybe if black cabs brought their service into the 21st century and stopped charging a fortune they might put uber out of business themselves?
like it or not uber is a great business idea, born from the short comings of black cabs.

I thought it was TFL and the mayor that set the rates on black cabs?
